VIA — Verein für Internationalen & Interkulturellen Austausch
VIA is a German nonprofit organisation dedicated to international and intercultural exchange, placing young people aged 18 and over on volunteering programmes across five continents. Their motto says it all: committed to solidarity in a globalised world. Their goals of broadening horizons, promoting tolerance and encouraging responsibility align closely with everything NVW stands for.
NVW and VIA have built a long-standing and trusted partnership over the years. VIA sends a significant number of German volunteers to our placements each year, and we are proud to be one of their trusted placement partners. Every volunteer who arrives through VIA comes prepared, motivated and ready to make a genuine contribution, which is a testament to the quality of VIA’s preparation and the strength of our shared values.

Schools, Colleges & Universities
We work closely with educational institutions in Australia and New Zealand to offer their students meaningful gap year and volunteering experiences through our placement network. These partnerships give students access to carefully vetted placements that complement their studies, build their confidence and broaden their horizons in ways that no classroom can replicate.
Our school and university partners trust us to look after their students, and we take that responsibility seriously. Every student who comes to us through a partner institution receives the same thorough preparation, ongoing support and careful placement matching that every NVW volunteer receives.
